How do you calculate days between two dates?+
The simplest way: convert both dates to a Unix timestamp (seconds since Jan 1, 1970), subtract them, and divide by 86,400 (seconds per day). Our calculator does this automatically and also accounts for leap years. Manual method: count months and days between the dates, adding exact days in each month.
What are business days?+
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends. Our calculator counts the total weekdays between the two dates. Note that it does not exclude public holidays (which vary by country and state) — adjust manually for major holidays if needed for legal or contract deadlines.
How many days between today and a specific date?+

How many days are in a year?+
A standard year has 365 days. A leap year has 366 days (an extra day on February 29). Leap years occur every 4 years, except for century years not divisible by 400 (2000 was a leap year, 1900 was not). The average year is 365.2425 days, which is why our calendar stays aligned with the solar year over centuries.
